Arvel Dewayne Cox, 56, of Malden, Mo., died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Born Nov. 30, 1947, in Malden, son of the late Arvel E. and Rosetta Kean Cox, he was of the General Baptist faith.

Survivors include one son, Mike Cox and wife, Kendra, of Bloomfield, Mo.; one daughter, Kim Meers and husband, Stephen, of Dexter, Mo.; one brother, Ronnie Cox and wife, Janet, of Malden and two sisters, Shirley Brawner, of Ellisville, Mo. and Peggy Cooper and husband, Jackie, of Chesterfield, Mo.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 9, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden with Dawsey Lee Brown officiating.

Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
