James Moore, 88, of Dexter, Mo., died Friday, Oct. 29, 2004, at Cypress Point Healthcare in Dexter.
Born Dec. 22, 1915, in Paragould, Ark., he was a railroad conductor with Union Pacific and CottonBelt Railroads. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dexter, Order of the Eastern Star in Dexter and Hornersville, Mo., Masonic Lodge in Dexter and Hornersville and a member of the Shriner organization.
On Nov. 23, 1990 in Dexter, he married Colleen Carter, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include one son, Jimmie S. Moore, of Ocean Springs, Miss.; three step-sons, Stephen Zusman, of Lafayette, Calif., Robert Zusman, of Granite Bay, Calif., and John Carter, of Branson, Mo.; two grandchildren; five-step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 1, at the First Baptist Church in Dexter with the Rev. Don Kennedy officiating.
Graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, at the Horner Cemetery in Hornersville with the Rev. Don Kennedy officiating.
Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter was in charge of arrangements.
