W.C. Forrest, 62, of Hayti, Mo., died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2004, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

Born Aug. 30, 1942, in Lake County, Tenn., son of the late William B. and Lillie E. Johnson Forrest, he was a Vietnam veteran, a farmer and a member of the Lake County American Legion.

On July 19, 1962, in Memphis, he married Veda Mae Keeley, who survives.

Survivors also include one daughter, Wanda Charlene Criswell, of Dyer, Tenn.; one son, Thomas Jason Forrest, of Nashville, Tenn.; four brothers, Gene A., James Russell, Roger Dale and William Edward Forrest; one sister, Ruby Ann Forrest; three granddaughters, Ashley Brooke Forrest and Siara Cheyenne and Rylea Devyn Criswell and one grandson, Richard Blake Criswell.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Earl Forrest.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, at the Dyersburg Funeral Home Ridgely Chapel in Ridgely, Tenn. with the Rev. Florence Staggs officiating.

Burial was in the New Haven Cemetery at Ridgely.

John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti was in charge of arrangements.
