Imogene Harris Jones, 81, of Senath, Mo., died Monday, Oct. 25, 2004, at National Health Care in Kennett.
Born March 23, 1923, in the Coldwater Community near Senath, daughter of the late Vander Eason and Delpha June Thompson Harris, she was a member of the Senath United Methodist church, Legionettes, Order of the Eastern Star, Octa-Austin Home Extension Club and secretary at Senath-Hornersville High School.
She married Joe Jones, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Winston and Buford Harris and two sisters, Elnora Harris and Jessie Fern Buck.
Survivors include three sons, Joe Jones and wife, Andrea, of Memphis, Tenn., Ivan Jones and wife, Lynn, of Rector, Ark. and Don Jones and wife, Tina, of Hornersville, Mo.; one daughter, Jane Winfield and husband, Jerry, of Brentwood, Tenn.; one brother, Don Harris and wife, Julie, of Tulsa, Okla.; two sisters, Mary Sue Slinkard and husband, Gene, of Senath and Jo Ann Singleton and husband, W.R., of Fredericktown, Mo. and 13 grandchidlren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today, Thursday, Oct. 28, at the Methodist Church in Senath with the Rev. Bob McNabb officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were grandsons, Joe C., Jay, Justin, Joshua, Jeremy, Lee and C. J. Jones, Jake Winfield and Jason Taylor.
The family requests memorials be made to the First Methodist church in Senath or to the Liberty or Cude Cemeteries.
McDaniel Funeral Home of Senath was in charge of arrangements.
