Rudolph Joseph Michel, 89, of Glennonville, Mo., died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004, at The Manor in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Born June 30, 1915, at Glennonville, son of the late Benno George and Rose Mary Stole Michel, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a retired farmer and truck driver. He was a member of the American Legion Posts in Malden, Mo., and Campbell, Mo., the oldest male member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church and member Knights of Columbus of Glennonville.

Survivors include one son, Robert Joseph Michel, of Paducah, Ky.; one niece, Jennifer Michel Cox, of Kennett; and one nephew, Steven King Michel, of Malden; three grandchildren, Robert Joseph Michel II, of Louisville, Ky., Benno John Michel, of Mobile, Ala. and Elisabeth Jane Michel, of Orlando, Fla.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Benno George Michel Jr., Oscar Michel and Eugene Anthony Michel and one sister, Agnes Anderson.

Funeral services were held at 10 am. today, Tuesday, Oct. 26, at St. Teresa's Catholic Church with Father Glenn Eftink officiating.

Burial was in St. Teresa's Cemetery, Glennonville.

Landess Funeral Home of Campbell was in charge of arrangements.
