Joseph Thurstan Hughey, 48, of Holcomb, Mo., died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2004, at his residence.
Born March 19, 1956, in Hayti, Mo., he was the son of Elsie Mae Slider Hughey of Portageville, Mo., and the late Samuel Lee Hughey. He was employed at Trinity Marine.
On June 13, 1992, he married Theresa Crossfield in Risco, Mo. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include one daughter, Tracy Lynn Williams of Kennett, Mo.; one son, Jeremy Edward Slavings who is serving int he U.S. Air Force in North Dakota; three brothers, Sharon Hughey of Friendship, Mo., Christopher Hughey of Clearwater, Fla., and Thomas Hughey of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; three sisters, Shirley Cloutier of Largo, Fla., Sandra Olson of Arlington, Wash., and Sarah Mansfield of Friendship, Mo.; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Hughey.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett with the Rev. Jerry Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway, Ark.
