Virginia Ferrell

Virginia Rose Ferrell, 84, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004, at National Health Care in Maryland Heights, Mo.

Born March 7, 1920, in Caruthersville, Mo., the daughter of the late George Doyle and Virginia Lenora Brown Doyle. She attended the Caruthersville School and was employed as a machine operator with Moog Industries of St. Louis, Mo., for over 25 years before retiring. She attended the Eastwood Memorial United Methodist Church prior to moving back to St. Louis, Mo.

On July 3, 1950, she married Lawrence Alan Ferrell in Paragould, Ark. He preceded her in death March 14, 1992.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include one brother, Floyd M. "Bud" Doyle of Bridgeton, Mo.; and several nephews, nieces and other relatives.

The funeral service was held Tuesday, Oct. 19, at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Caruthersville, Mo., with the Rev. Dwight Chapman officiating. Burial was in the Little Prairie Cemetery in Caruthersville, Mo.

Pallbearers were Earl Bullington, Ernest L. Bullington, Dalton Ferrell, Bob Waller and Jimmy Bullington.
