David Leon Gibbs II, 24, of Malden, Mo., died Sunday, Oct. 10, 2004, at his residence.

Born July 4, 1980, in Kennett, he was the son of the late David Leon and Doris Ann Cantrell Gibbs.

Survivors include three sons, David Leon Gibbs III, of St. Louis, Mo. and Brandon and Trevor Burleson, both of New Madrid, Mo.; three sisters, Cynthia Duncan, of Dyersburg, Tenn. and Christina Cantrell and Taylor McCallister, both of Malden; grandparents, Ralph and Rita Gibbs, of Mountain View, Mo., and Hazel Cantrell, of Malden; 2 nieces and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Russell Riddle and Burl and Eunice Mann.

Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. today, Wednesday, Oct. 13, at the Rosewood Cemetery in Malden with the Rev. Roger Fowler officiating.

Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden was in charge of arrangements.
