Floyd Drummond

Floyd Benton Drummond, 92, of Hornersville, Mo., died Monday, Oct. 4, 2004, at his residence.

Born May 26, 1912, in Cooter, Mo., son of the late Joseph and Ada No Norrid Drummond, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in WWII. He was a machinist for the railroad and a member of the Hornersville Baptist Church.

On Feb. 11, 1946, in Paragould, Ark., he married Mary Chambers, who preceded him in death.

Survivors include five daughters, Joyce Zolman and husband, Ron, Janice Drummond and Carolyn Sue Drummond, all of Kennett and Jo Alice Brown and husband, Gary and Jeannie Drummond, all of Hornersville; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, Oct. 6, at the Hornersville Baptist Church with the Revs. Freddie Bowen and Kevin Knox officiating.

Burial was in the Horner Cemetery.

Bradshaw Funeral Home of Hornersville was in charge of arrangements.
