Elbert Potts

Elbert Elton Potts, 79, of Kennett, died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2004, at his residence.

Born Feb. 28, 1925, in Munford, Tenn., son of the late William Joseph Nathaniel and Ester Ulela Kinney Potts, he was an exterminator.

On Feb. 28, 1956, in Kennett, he married Pearl Hendrix, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include one daughter, Judy Davis and husband, Carlton, of Kennett; one son, Stanley E. Potts and wife, Carolyn, of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; one brother, Bill Potts, of Kennett; one sister, Lois Cagle, of West Memphis, Ark.; two granddaughters, Brandy Gage, of Kennett and Sharon Bostic, of Springfield, Mo., and one grandson, Gene Potts, of Rector, Ark.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Alma Bullock, Velma Downing and Helen Ramsey and one brother, Leroy Potts.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, 2004, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett.

Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.
