Jimmy Lee Springer, 50, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Monday, Sept. 20, 2004, at Caruthersville.
Born Aug. 10, 1954, in Tiptonville, Tenn., son of Lula Mae Springer, of Caruthersville and the late Robert Lee Springer, Sr., he was employed at Trinity Marine in Caruthersville.
Survivors include his six children, Christy Johnson, of Kennett, Marcia Carter and husband, Quinton and Tanoka Springer, all of Indianapolis, Ind., Kendra Woods and Christopher Springer, both of Caruthersville and Jimmy Lee Springer, Jr., of Dallas, Texas; three brothers, Robert Lee Springer, Jr. and wife. Elvie, of Caruthersville and James Edward Casey and Lonnie Graham, both of Savannah, Tenn.; one sister, Lula Mae Springer, of Caruthersville ; five grandchildren, Cortez and Elijah Carter, Jimmy Lee Springer III, Jamesha Springer and Damion Rodgers and a special friend, Deborah Leatherwood.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Springer.
Funeral services were held at noon Saturday, Sept. 25, at the Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Caruthersville with the Rev. Jay T. Spicer officiating.
Burial was in the Magnolia Cemetery at Caruthersville.
Pallbearers were Robert Springer, Jr., James, Lonnie and Peter Springer and Cortez Carter.
Carter Funeral Home of Caruthersville was in charge of arrangements.
