Dusae Hostetler, 92, of Holcomb, Mo., died Saturday, Sept. 18, 2004, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born Oct. 8, 1911, in Holcomb, daughter of the late Asa Bascomb and Annye Lourinda Nappier Douglass, she was a secretary and file clerk for Green Thumb/DAEOC, a member of the United Methodist Church in Holcomb and a member of the United Methodist Women.
On April 10, in Piggott, Ark., she married Jacob Spear Hostetler, who preceded her in death on Jan. 31, 1963. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Theopolis and Raymond Douglass and one sister, Myrtle Blankenship.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Hostetler and wife, Barbara, of Cape Coral, Fla. and Ed Hostetler and wife, Wanda, of Holcomb; one sister, Theitis Francis Marine, of Columbia, Mo.; two grandchildren, Mark Hostetler, of Durham, N.C, and Greg Hostetler, of Asheville, N.C. and three great-grandchildren, Jarred, Jenna and Annie Hostetler.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24, at the United Methodist Church in Holcomb.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24, at the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Barron Willer officiating.
Burial will follow at the Loyd Cemetery in Holcomb.
