Born Aug. 24, 1923, in Malden, Mo., son of the late Lonzo and Goldie May Starr Moore, he was a U.S.. Army veteran having served in the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include one son, Raymond Moore, of Malden; one daughter, Jan Shuffler, of Malden; one step-son, Charles Roe, of Campbell; two step-daughters, Mary Middleton, of Augusta, Ark. and Debbie Wiggins, of McCrory, Ark.; four brothers, Don Moore, of Wappapello, Mo., Gary, David and Frank Moore, all of Malden; three sisters, Lou Crannick, of Festus, Mo., and Linda Stanley and Kathy Phillips, both of Malden; three grandsons, Derick Shuffler and Dustin and Rheama Moore; two great-grandchildren, Macey and Katie Shuffler and three step-grandchildren, Brandon Middleton and Bradley and Emily Wiggins.
He was preceded in death by one son, John Wayne Moore; one daughter, Norma Jean Moore; one brother, Leman Moore and one sister, Betty Chaffant.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden with the Rev. Gerald Burger officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
