James Troy Howard, 62, of Stafford, Texas, formerly of Kennett, died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2004 at the Houston Hospice in Houston, Texas.
Born April 3, 1942, in Bassett, Ark., son of the late Troy Henry and Hattie Lucille Meeks Howard, he attended Stafford Church of Christ in Stafford, Texas and Slicer St. Church of Christ in Kennett, Mo.
On July 2, 1959 in Malden, Mo., he married Marketta Reeves, who survives.
Survivors also include one son, Troy Chad Howard and wife, Christa, of Stafford; two daughters, Tonya Raydean Head and husband, Steve, of Needville, Texas., Angela Beth West and husband, Dan, of Dumas, Texas; five grandchildren, Randy and Natalie Head of Needville, Laura Beth, Daniel and Whitney Rae West of Dumas; two sisters, Shirleen Schuh and husband, Bud, of Richmond, Texas; Shelba Lester and husband, Bob, of Marion, Ark.; and mother and father-in-law, Raymond and Nadine Reeves of Stafford.
Stellegast-Kopf Funeral Home of Sugarland, Texas were in charge of arrangements.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2004 at the Westberry Church of Christ in Houston.
