Bobby H. Looney, 73, of Leachville, Ark., died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2004, at his residence.

Born in Leachville, son of the late Walter Lee and Lou Ann Looney, he was a U.S. veteran of the Korean War, , a volunteer in the Leachville Fire Department, owned and operated Fred's Franchise Store in Kennett and was previously owner and operator of Looney's Tractor and Auto Parts in Leachville. He was a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church in Leachville and treasurer of the Leachville Little League.

Survivors include his wife, Marlyn Looney, of the home; one sister, Margaret Looney, of Blytheville, Ark.; one brother, James Looney, of Paragould, Ark. and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Myles Looney and one sister, Magdalene Looney Dodd.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at the First Baptist Church in Leachville.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church in Leachville, the University of Tennessee Cancer Institute, 62 N. Dunlap, Memphis, Tenn. 38104 or the charity of your choice.
