Dwight Thomas

Dwight Thomas, 72, of Sikeston, Mo., died Friday, Sept. 10, 2004, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born march 28, 1932, in Arbyrd, Mo., son of the late Emett and Minnie Hays Thomas, he done private investigations, lawyers investigative work, insurance claim investigations, contracted international investigative assignments and contracted CPA investigative audits.

He was involved with the U.S. Dept. of Defense, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Customs and the Attorney General and had a United States top secret clearance for 10 years.

His special training services include in-house security force training, executive protection consultation training and commercial and industrial security planning and implementation.

He had a masters degree in criminal justice and law enforcement, 7 years experience with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 20 years experience as special agent with the United States Treasury Department, certified instructor and two years teaching assignment as senior instructor at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, certified instructor with the Missouri Department of Public Safety, special instructor with the United States Academy of International Development for International Police Organizations, member of the Federal Criminal Investigators Association; the International Arson Investigators Association; the National Association of Treasury Agents; the International Association of Bomb Technicians and Investigators and other professional associations.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy, of the home; two sons, Farley Thomas, of Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif. and Clay Thomas, of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; one daughter, Lisa Clement, of St. Charles, Mo. and one brother, R.J. Thomas, of Senath, Mo.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Journey Thomas, Dennis Thomas and William Thomas and three sisters, Dorothy Christos, Dora Clark and Deloris Layne.

Visitation was held on Sunday, Sept. 12, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Arbyrd McDaniel Funeral Home in Arbyrd, Mo.

Funeral services were held at the Arbyrd McDaniel Chapel in Arbyrd on Sunday, Sept. 12 at 11 a.m.

McDaniel Funeral Home of Arbyrd was in charge of arrangements.
