Birdia Flennoy, 96, of Hayti, Mo., died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2004, at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti.

Born Sunday, Feb. 16, 1908, at Memphis, Tenn., a daughter of the late William and Emma Russell, she was a homemaker.

She married Samuel Flennoy who preceded her in death.

Survivors include a daughter, Geraldine Nolen and husband, Webster, of Las Vegas, Nev.; two step-sons, Samuel Flennoy, Jr. and Willie Flennoy, both of Chicago; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at Cedar Street M.B. Church in Hayti with the Rev. Darren Thomas officiating.

Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery in Hayti.

Bradshaw Funeral Home of Hayti was in charge of arrangements.
