Mary Alene Riggs, 67, of Walnut Ridge, Ark., died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2004, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Born in Arkansas, a daughter of the late Louie and Dorothy Willfond, she was a homemaker and worked at Walnut Ridge Convalescent Center. She was a Baptist.

Survivors include her husband, Maxie Riggs; two daughters, Debra Cline of Lafe, Ark., and Tammy Brown of Ravenden, Ark.; one brother, Louie Willfond, Jr. of Hoxie, Ark.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis Karnes, son-in-law Larry Cline and two brothers, Melvin and Edgar Willfond.

Funeral services were 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, at House-Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Walnut Ridge with Junior Meeker officiating.

Burial was in Duty Cemetery near Walnut Ridge.

Pallbearers were Jordon Brown, Steven Holsten, Christopher Holsten, Gary Patton, Chad Depew and Cloyce Davidson.
