Anna M. Shepard, 92, of Century Villa Health Care in Greentown, Ind., formerly of Kokomo, Ind., died Friday, Sept. 3, 2004, at St. Joseph Hospital.
Born Nov. 22, 1911, in Arkansas, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Ammie Jenkins Crawford.
On Dec. 17, 1932, in Kennett, she married Arley E. Shepard who preceded her in death on March 12, 1984. She was also preceded in death by two sons, E.J. and Huston Shepard; three grandsons, Michael Potts, Richard L. Powers and David Shepard; one great-grandson, Stevie Middlebrook; two brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include four daughters, Mary Pritchett of Marion, Ind., Shirley Potts and husband, Ed, of Wabash, Ind., Brenda Taylor and husband, Bill, of Ft. Meade, Fla., and Sharon Powers of Kokomo; a brother, Everett Crawford and wife, Mattie of Kennett, and daughter-in-law, Thelma Crawford of Holcomb; 17 grandchildren, Judy Peridore of Kennett, Kim Johnson of Paragould, Ark., Marilyn Cobb of Sharpsville, Ind., Ken Pritchett of Swayzee, Ind., Sandy Lake and Eddy Potts of Wabash, Teresa Jackson of Clearwater, Fla., Lisa Frayer of Southgate, Mich., Matthew Powers of Noblesville, Ind., Joe Shepard, Kent Shepard, James Shepard, Jamie Taylor and Mark Powers all of Kokomo; 32 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 6, at Fenn & Shirley Mortuary Chapel in Kokomo.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, at Fenn & Shirley Chapel with Pastor Dan Coomer officiating.
Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery in Kokomo.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
