Fred Russom, 62, of Hayti, Mo., died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2004, at his residence.
Born June 27, 1942, in Gobler, Mo., son of the late Jessie and Bertha Bell Morton Russom, he was a truck driver and a farm laborer.
On Aug. 7, 1965, in Peach Orchard, Mo., he married Martha Faye Adams, who preceded him in death on July 16, 1984. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Hulen and Elmo Russom and one sister, Linda Roberts.
Survivors include seven children, Martha Martin and husband, Scotty, Lisha Tilmon and husband, Joe, Freddy Russom and Rhonda Wooten and husband, Chris, all of Hayti, Kim Smith and husband, Glen, of Kennett, Tina Owen and husband, Nathan, of West Memphis, Ark. and Chris Hobbs and wife, Amanda, of Utah.; three brothers, Carlous Russom, of Caruthersville, Mo. and J.W. and Varnell Russom, both of Hayti; one sister, Doris Ash, of Bakersfield, Calif. and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti with Dr. Mike Melton officiating.
Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Hayti.
Pallbearers were Tony Cannon, Brannon Fisher, Brad Mashburn, Eric and Jim Tilmon and Richard Watkins.
