Harris Robert Rogers, 78, of Smithland, Ky., formerly of Campbell, Mo., died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2004, at Paducah, Ky.
Born May 22, 1926, in Saginaw, Mich., son of the late Harris R. and Emily Layton Rogers, he was a retired ironworker and a member of the United Methodist Church in Campbell.
On Oct. 28, 1950, in Saginaw, he married Ruth Pauline Pyke, who preceded him in death on Dec. 2, 1997. He was also preceded in death by one son, Raymond Rogers, one brother, Donald Rogers and one sister, Suzanne Taplinski.
Survivors include three daughters, Ruth Eaton and husband, Donald, of Qulin, Mo., Marie Mattingly and husband, David, of Malden, Mo. and Michelle Stenger and husband, John, of Poplar bluff, Mo.; two sons, Kenneth Rogers and wife, Pat, of Paducah, Ky. and Michael Rogers, of Ledbetter, Ky.; one sister, Dorothy Raymond, of Michigan; one brother, Charles Rogers, of Michigan; 19 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. today, Aug. 31, at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Campbell.
Landess Funeral Home of Campbell was in charge of arrangements.
