Lewis Crafton, 65, of Memphis, Tenn., and formerly of Bragg City, Mo., died Thursday, August 26, 2004, at Methodist Hospital South in Memphis.
Born Jan. 29, 1939, at Gideon, he was a son of the late Lloyd L. and Opal Panky Crafton.
On May 17, 1959, he married Elaine Davis, who survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Jeffery Crafton and Terry Crafton of Memphis and Ben Crafton of Hernando, Miss.; one daughter, Tina McConnell of Collierville, Tenn.; one brother, Joe Crafton, of Kennett; three sisters, Kim Sprouse of Holcomb, Mo., Ruth Jackson of Troy, Mo. and Helen Workman of Blytheville, Ark. and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Lindol, Ronnie and Robert Crafton and two sisters, Hazel Crafton and Doris Adams.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Saturday, August 28, at McDaniel Funeral Service Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Eugene Ray officiating. Burial was in Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were Tommy Crafton, Michael Keith Crafton, Rick Crafton, Tony Crafton, Eric Davis and Scott Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers were Freddie Davis, Charles Thornton, James Reed and Jerry Garrett.
