Roy Levi Gilpin, 68, of Holcomb, Mo., died Thursday, August 26, 2004, at Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Ark.
Born May 23, 1916, at Poplar Bluff, Mo., a son of the late James Richard and Bertha Lee Davis Gilpin, he was a retired farmer.
On March 25, 1963, at Malden, Mo., he married Constance "Connie" Matlock.
Survivors include two daughters, Teresa Lindsey and husband, Bill, of Campbell, Mo. and Janice Elliott and husband, Wayne, of Holcomb; one sister, Sallie Kerr of Bernie, Mo.; one half-sister, Pansy Holt of Bernie; eight grandchildren Amanda Weeks, Brent Lindsey, Kristie Lindsey, Bardley Lindsey, Tyler Lindsey, Hannah Lindsey, Brandon Elliott, and Alyson Elliott.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Jess Gilpin, Rollie Gilpin and W.A. Gilpin and one sister, Oretha Trout.
Funeral services were 3 p.m. Saturday, August 28, at Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Campbell with the Rev. Tony Woods officiating.
Burial was in Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton, Mo.
