Born June 26, 1938, at Malden, son of Vivian Kitrel Shelton and the late Ralph Shelton, he was a civil engineer and a Vietnam veteran who served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He attended Desert Spring United Methodist Church in Las Vegas.
On July 29, 1956, at Malden, he married Sally Radican who survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Debra Shelton VanWagner and husband, Marshall, of Gaithersburg, Md. and Jeri Lea Leddon and husband, Hank, of Springfield, Va., five grandchildren, Katie Leddon, Justin Leddon, Rebecca Leddon, Evgeniy VanWagner and Svetlana VanWagner.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Sunday, August 22, at Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. Monday, August 23, at Landess Chapel with the Rev. Susan Marner-Sides officiating.
Burial, with full military rites, will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
The family suggests memorials be made to the American Heart Association or the United Methodist Church in Malden.
