Clara Belle Hart Rudd, 91, of Wardell, Mo., died Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2004, at the Ripley County Memorial Hospital in Doniphan, Mo.
Born July 22, 1913, in Kewanee, Mo., daughter of the late William and Low Davenport Hart, she was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Wardell.
On Oct. 10, 1931, in Caruthersville, Mo., she married James "Preacher" Rudd, who preceded her in death on Dec. 25, 1998. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Minnie Duncan; two sisters; one brother and four grandsons.
Survivors include three sons, James Rudd, of Hayti, Mo., Roy Rudd, of Bentonville, Ark. and Ricky Rudd, of Wardell; five daughters, Pearline Stone, of Doniphan, Emma Young, of Fairdealing, Mo., Bonnie Brooks, of Perryville, Mo. and Shirley West and Barbara Blurton, both of Wardell; one sister, Willie Petty, of Ellington, Mo.; two brothers, Tommy Hart, of Puxico, Mo. and Frankie Hart, of Portageville, Mo.; 33 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and 31 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 15, at the First Baptist Church in Wardell with the Revs. Griff Walker and Dewayne Roberts officiating.
Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Hayti.
Pallbearers were her grandsons, David, Michael and Chris Rudd, Dean Stone, Tony and Harvey Young, Robert West and Stanley Miller.
John W. German Funeral Home in Hayti was in charge of arrangements.
