Wesley Maxwell

Wesley O. "Bud" Maxwell, 83, of Campbell, Mo., died Friday, August 13, 2004, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.

Born Nov. 9, 1920, in Conway County, Ark., a son of the late James Victor and Eva Ethel Chism Maxwell, he was a retired auto mechanic and attended the Cane Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

On Jan. 22, 1949, in Perry County, Ark., he married Ruth "Bull" Maxwell, who survives.

Other survivors include one son, Gary Maxwell and wife, Carol, of Kennett; one daughter, Vicki Brown of Ozark, Mo.; one brother, James Mdaxwell of German Valley, Ill.; three sisters, Louise Stell of Springfield, Ark., Ida Mae Foushee of Solgohacia, Ark. and Barbara Brasier of Belzoni, Miss.; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Marylyn Laree Maxwell; one brother, Melvin Hayes Maxwell and four sisters, Vivian McCoy, Pauline Buie, Edith Maxwell and Lena Bruce.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. today, Sunday, August 15, at Landess Funeral Chapel in Campbell with the Rev. Bud Evans officiating.

Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery-Landess Addition in Campbell.
