Billy Stanberry

Billy Harold Stanberry, 62, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., formerly of Dupo, Ill., died Wednesday, August 11, 2004, at his residence.

Born Sept. 13, 1941, in Rives, Mo., son of the late George and Lovetta Stanberry, he was a graduate Deering High School at Deering, Mo., and a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff. A former Dupo, Ill., school board member, he was a retired railroad conductor and real estate developer. He was a member of the Butler County Democrat Assn. and Democrat Framers Organization.

On Oct. 24, 1989, in Poplar Bluff, he married Dianne Ketcherside Clark, who survives.

Other survivors include one daughter, Carol Wilkerson of Dupo; four sons, Tim Stanberry and wife, Deana, of Dupo, Mark Stanberry and wife, Stacey, Ron Clark and wife, Starlette and Shawn Clark and wife, Keri, all of Poplar Bluff; two sisters, Bonnie Roberts of Cahokia, Ill. and Georgia Hayes of Steele, Mo. and 14 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Margie Russom and three brothers, Everett Stanberry, Leslie Stanberry and Gerald Stanberry.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday, August 14, at Cotrell Funeral Home Chapel in Poplar Bluff.

Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, August 15, at Cotrell Chapel with the Rev. Don Mayo officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Poplar Bluff.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Brandon Scott Fund at First Midwest Bank in Poplar Bluff.
