Harris

Dorothy Harris, 85, of Kennett, died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2004, at National Health Care in Kennett.

Born Feb. 28, 1919, in Kennett, daughter of the late Samuel and Amanda Craig Horton, she was a charter member of Abiding Peace Temple Church in Kennett.

On March 31, 1945, she married Paul R. Harris, who preceded her in death on Oct. 4, 1995. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Carl, Bill, Berley and J.D. Horton and one sister, Lorene Griffin.

Survivors include two sons, Ronel Paul Harris and wife, Thelma, of Kennett and Randy Harris, of Columbia, Mo.; one daughter, Peggy Osmer, of Kennett; three sisters, Pauline Milavich and Maxine Dortch, both of Kennett and Margie Cline, of St. Louis, Mo.; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 11, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.

Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.

Pallbearers were Bob, David, Gerald, Mark and Sam Horton and Eric Snipes.

Honorary pallbearer was Austin Harris Poe.
