Dorothy Harris, 85, of Kennett, died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2004, at National Health Care in Kennett.

Born Feb. 28, 1919, in Kennett, daughter of the late Samuel and Amanda Craig Horton, she was a charter member of Abiding Peace Temple Church in Kennett.

On March 31, 1945, she married Paul R. Harris, who preceded her in death on Oct. 4, 1995. She was also preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

Survivors include two sons, Ronel Paul Harris, of Kennett and Randy Harris, of Columbia, Mo.; one daughter, Peggy Osmer, of Kennett; three sisters, Pauline Milavich and Maxine Dortch, both of Kennett and Margie Cline, of St. Louis, Mo.; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Tuesday, Aug. 10, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.

Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.

Pallbearers are Bob, David, Gerald, Mark and Sam Horton and Eric Snipes.
