Richard Malady

Richard Lee Malady, 69, of Kennett, died Wednesday, August 4, 2004, at St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Louis.

Born Dec. 25, 1934, at White Oak, Mo., he was a son of the late Maple and Rosie Lee Oliver Malady.

On Dec. 31, 1969, he married Carlotta June Boswell who preceded him in death Nov. 24, 2003.

Surivivors include three sons, Michael Malady of House Springs, Mo., Bruce Malady, Sr., of Forrest City, Ark., and Rodney Maladey, Sr. of St. Louis; three daughters, Kimberly Gibson of Pinellas Park, Fla., Laura Iler of House Springs, and Karen Miles of DeSoto, Mo.; one brother, David Malady of Pevely, Mo.; five sisters, Louise Causer of Neosho, Mo, Betty Townsend of Elizabethton, Tenn., Shirley Orioli of Upland, Calif., Lee Weeks and Mary Finley Brown, both of Kennett; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Richard Lee Malady, Jr., seven brothers, Robert, Junior, J.C., James, Jerry, Troy and Bobby Lee Malady and one sister, Carolyn Kay.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. today, Sunday, August 8, at McDaniel Funeral Service Chapel in Kennett with Sister Lee Weeks officiating.

Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers are Richard Malady, Rodney Malady, Michael Malday, J.T. Iler, Dashel Finley and Eric Finley.
