Born Jan. 30, 1921, at Richman, Ky., a daughter of the late Robert Warren and Mattie Hisle Elkin, she was a homemaker. She was a veteran of World War II during which she served with the U.S. Army Air Corps. She attended St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Glennonville. She was 4-H leader in Dunklin County for more than 50 years, receiving the gold clover in recognition of her service; was a director for Dunklin County DAEOC; a member of the Delta Fair Board; a volunteer with RSVP, a member of the BPW, served on the election board; and was chairman for three years of the advisory board for Dunklin County Transit.
On June 13, 1945, in Erlanger, Ky., she married Rudolph Joseph Michel, who survives.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill, Paul and Robert Elkin and one sister, Louise Wallace.
Visitation is 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Sunday, August 8, at Landess Funeral Home of Campbell. Prayer service will be at 7 p.m.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 9, at St. Teresa's Catholic Church with Father Mark Binder officiating.
Burial will be in St. Teresa's Cemetery at Glennonville.
