Dale Palmer, 73, of Bragg City, Mo., died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004, at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.

Born May 13, 1931, in Perry, Ark., son of the late George H. and Eula Marie Windham Palmer, he was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Holcomb, Mo.

On Sept. 17, 1949, in Piggott, Ark., he married Christine McLaughlin, who preceded him in death on Feb. 3, 1999. He was also preceded in death by one son, Michael Patrick Palmer.

Survivors include one son, Gary Palmer and wife, Margie, of Hayti, Mo.; one daughter, Donna Wimberly and husband, Harold, of Kennett; one sister, Edith Phillips, of Wardell, Mo.; a special friend, Catherine Tindal, of Holcomb; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Howard Kirby officiating.

Burial was in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers were Jimmie Strother, Wayne Elliott, Mike Huckaberry, Phil Hinkle, Malcolm Babb and Tom Duncan.
