David Thomas Deken, 25, of Glennonville, Mo., died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004, near Broseley, Mo.

Born Sept. 28, 1978, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., son of Thomas William and Peggy Ann Hirtz Deken, he was a graduate of Campbell High School in Campbell, Mo. and worked for Gates Rubber in Poplar Bluff. He was a member of the St. Teresa's Catholic Church and of the Knights of Columbus-St. Jerome's Council.

Survivors include his parents, Tom and Peggy Deken, of Glennonville; one brother, Adam Deken and wife, Michelle, of Glennonville; two sisters, Heather and Alyssa Deken, of Glennonville; grandparents, William and Gertrude Hirtz of Glennonville and several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Bernadine Deken.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today, Tuesday, Aug. 3, at the St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Glennonville with Father Glenn Eftink and Father Dan Hirtz officiating.

Burial was in the St. Teresa's Cemetery at Glennonville.

Landess Funeral Home of Campbell was in charge of arrangements.
