Robert Lee Teal, 83, of Gideon, Mo., died Saturday, July 31, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Born Dec. 12, 1920, in Batesville, Ark., son of the late Thomas Edward and Roxie Della Teasley Teal, he was a member of the Gideon Saddle Club and CB Radio Club and former member of the Gideon Volunteer Fire Department.

On March 11, 1939, in Gideon, he married Opal Esther Faith, who preceded him in death on Dec. 6, 1987.

Survivors include three sons, Bobby Teal and wife, Wanda, of Kennett, Freddy Teal and wife, Sherry, of Brosley, Mo. and Kendell Miller, of Clarkton, Mo.; two daughters, Carolyn Adams, of Gideon and Sharon Thompson, of Clarkton, Mo.; two sisters, Martha Roberts and Edna Toon, both of Springfield, Mo.; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today, Tuesday, Aug. 3, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Gideon.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Earnest Puckett officiating.

Burial will follow at the Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Clarkton.
