Lorene Alice George, 83, of Campbell, Mo., died Thursday, July 29, 2004, at the Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Ark.

Born Dec. 10, 1920, at Datto, Ark., she was a daughter of the late Ben and Emma Petty Henderson.

She married Ernest Wade George who preceded her in death Jan. 13, 2002. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Elvin and Ollie Henderson and two sisters, Opal Dowdy and Nellina Beckner.

Survivors include three sons, Rick George of St. Francis, Ark., Glendon George of Dupo, Ill. and Dale George of Richmond, Va.; one daughter, Susan Bowlds of Colorado Springs, Colo.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were 3 p.m. Saturday, July 31, at McDaniel Funeral Service Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Bill Fox officiating.

Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.

Pallbearers were Glen George, Jr., Jack Henderson, Vern Stricklin, Lelan Hendrix, Thomas Arant and Ed Sims.
