Lee Vaughn Baker, 76, of Bragg City, Mo., died July 16, 2004, at his residence.
Born October 27, 1927, in Athens, Ala., he was the son of the late Roy Lee and Florence Otis Chandler Baker.
On April 2, 1969, he married Vada Grills, who survives.
Survivors also include three sons, Ronnie Baker, of Lake Isabella, Calif., Donnie Baker and wife Cathy, of Lancaster, Calif., and Steve Woods and wife Carolyn, of Kennett; four daughters, Debbie Smith and husband Don, of Bragg City, Patsy Kelley and husband John, of Anderson, Calif., Needa Estrada and husband Raul, of Lake Isabella, and Mary Yeargan, of Kent, Wash.; eight sisters, Sarah Adams, of Assumption, Ill., Maxine Ray, of Branford, Fla., Edna Scott, of Porter, Texas, Doris Oxford, of Gosnell, Ark., Earline Nash, of Dudley, Mo., Carolyn Walker, of Sikeston, Mo., Rita Sliger, of Southaven, Miss., and Jean Eubanks, of Kennett; 17 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Bo Woods; six brothers, Earl, Morris, Opie, Tonice, James, and Felix Baker; and two sisters, Leta Baker and Pauline Collom.
Visitations were held Sunday, July 18 at McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 19, at the McDaniel Chapel of Kennett with the Reverend Dale Rickman officiating.
Burial followed in Gregory Cemetery of Kennett.
Pallbearers were Doug Adams, Billy Baker, Jackie Eubanks, Ron Robinson, Johnny Sliger, and Gene Woods. Honorary pallbearer was Tyler Smith.
