Dorothy Clapp, 66, of Morehouse, Mo., died Tuesday, July 13, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.

Born Jan. 10, 1938, in Braggadocio, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Gladys Norwood Corbin.

On Oct. 14, 1952, in Hernando, Miss., she married Sidney Joseph Clapp, who survives.

Survivors also include two sons, David Lee Clapp, of Morehouse and Terry Wayne Clapp, of St. Louis, Mo.; two daughters, Phyllis Ann Warren and Ruth Elaine Ayres, both of St. Louis; one sister, Mary Paolucci, of Blythe, Calif.; two step-sisters, Elizabeth Shelton, of Livingston, La. and Corrinne Davis, of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Michael Dale Clapp.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 15, at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Caruthersville, Mo. with the Rev. John Goss officiating.

Burial was in the Little Prairie Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Mike Bell, Michael Woodworth, David L. Clapp, Jr., John D. McMahon, Sr., Bill Lowry and Shawn Robards.
