J.C. Wilkerson, 78, of Eustis, Fla., formerly of Kennett, died Tuesday, July 13, 2004, at Orlando, Fla.

Born in Monett, Ark., he was a W.W. II U.S. Navy veteran and a farmer. He was a member of the D.A.V., the Am Vets and the VFW Post 8087 of Eustis.

Survivors include one son, Wayne Wilkerson, of Patterson, Mo.; four daughters, Sarah Stiver, of Mount Dora, Fla., Beverly L. Dykes, of Eustis, Toney Shoemaker, of Apopka, Fla. and Katha Wilkerson, of Adrian, Mich.; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 16, at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
