Larry Clinton Pierce, 67, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Tuesday, July 6, 2004, at Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems in Hayti, Mo.
Born June 10, 1937 in Caruthersville, he was the son of the late Robert Clinton and Sudie Mae Kirk Pierce. He attended Caruthersville schools and was employed in the river boat business prior to his retirement.
Survivors include three sons, Bobby Blair and Clint Blair of Caruthersville, and Bob Mann of Braggadocio, Mo.; three daughters, Penny Tyson of Oregon, Wendy Woods of Caruthersville, and Terri Dudley of Lexington, Tenn.; four brothers, Jerry Pierce of Lula, Miss., Ronald Pierce of Toone, Tenn., Johnny Pierce of Paris, Tenn., and Billy Pierce of Creal Springs, Ill.; three sisters, Marilyn Mitchell of Paris, Tenn., Pat Lafferty of Walls, Miss., and Betty Jo Dodd of Caruthersville, along with a number of other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, July 8, 2004 at 10 a.m. at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Caruthersville with the Rev. Jim Pilcher officiating.
Burial was at the Maple Cemetery in Caruthersville.
Pallbearers were Paul Palmer, Dale Pierce, Johnny Pierce, and David Turner.
