Ora Davis, 96, of Jonesboro, Ark., formerly of Kennett, died Wednesday, June 30, 2004, at Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Born Dec. 9, 1907, in Black Rock, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Ara Mahala Casper Richey.
On Feb. 10, 1929, in Lynn, Ark., she married Raymond Davis, who preceded her in death on Dec. 31, 1997. She was also preceded in death by one son, Linual Davis; five brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include four daughters, Kathleen Moore, of Swartz Creek, Mich., Willine Miles, of Jonesboro, Virginia Lassiter, of Proctor, Ark. and Veneta Braden, of Memphis, Tenn.; one brother, Roy Richey, of Sterling, Ill.; two sisters, Winnie Nichols, of California and Elizabeth Wiggins, of Independence, Mo.; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 3, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 3, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. James Dortch and John Freeman officiating.
Burial will follow at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.
Pallbearers are Paul and Kent Lassiter, Tony and Barry Miles and Roger and David Moore.
