Essie Nellum, 91, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Tuesday, June 29, 2004, at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti, Mo.

Born July 15, 1912, in Tunica, Miss., daughter of the late George and Mary Brown Taska, she was a homemaker.

She married John Nellum, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include one son, Sylvester Nellum, of Caruthersville.

Funeral services will be held at noon, Friday, July 2, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti with Jimmy Russell, Jr. officiating.

Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Hayti.
