Maude Russell, 89, of Hayti, Mo., died Saturday, June 26, 2004, at Hayti.
Born Nov. 5, 1914, in Olive Hill, Tenn., daughter of the late Riley and Martha Kilburn Wade, she was a cook at North Pemiscot School and was of the Methodist faith.
On May 1, 1932, in Cerra Gordo, Tenn., she married Jack Russell, who preceded her in death in 1970. She was also preceded in death by one son, Mack Russell; one daughter, Grace Smith; one sister, Lennie Franks and two brothers, Mack and Montie Wade.
Survivors include one son, Robert Russell, of Hayti; two sisters, Tiny Beckham, of Savannah, Tenn., and Clara Beckham, of Olive Hill, Tenn.; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 29 at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti with the Rev. Kenny Durham officiating.
Burial was in the Portageville Cemetery at Portageville, Mo.
Pallbearers were Adam and Andrew Alexander, Larry Joe Beckham, Eric Rainey, Robert Russell, Jr. and Jason Thompson.
