Ava Jewel Maudlin, 92, of Robertsdale, Ala., formerly of Portageville, Mo., died Tuesday, June 22, 2004, at her residence.
Born April 3, 1912, in Paragould, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Fonza and Alice Riggs Bryant.
On May 22, 1930, in Dryden, Ark., she married Ogal Maudlin, who preceded her in death on Aug. 29, 1985. She was also preceded in death by one son, Cleveland Jess Maudlin; two daughters, Evelyn Faith Maudlin and Barbara Ann McCarley; one brother, Buddy Bryant and two sisters, Ida Allred and Mary Wallace.
Survivors include two sons, Delbert Maudlin, of Robertsdale and Jimmy Maudlin, of Lucedale, Miss.; four daughters, Louise Bishop, of Osceola, Ark., Jessie Richardson and Geneva Todd, both of Portageville and Jewel Lenox, of Yakima, Wash.; 21 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today, Thursday, June 24, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, June 26, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow at the Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton, Mo.
