Charles Lindy Miller, 76, of Paragould, Ark., died Wednesday, June 16, 2004, at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
Born July 8, 1927, in Silverdale, Mo., son of the late J.W. and Nora Miller, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in WWII and he was a banker, having worked at banks in Arkansas and Missouri, including serving as past president and CEO of the Cardwell State Bank in Cardwell, Mo. He was a Shriner, a member of the Al Chymia Shrine Temple in Memphis, Tenn. and the Scottish Rite in West Memphis, Ark., a member of the Hornersville Masonic Lodge, member of the Dunklin County American Legion, member of the Cardwell Rotary Club, a Scout leader and a member of the Cardwell Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Barrett Miller, of the home; one son, Greg Miller and wife, Donna, of Paragould; three sisters, Helen Petty, of Lake Ozark, Mo., Ella Mae Crotts, of McRae, Ark. and Hazel Miller, of Florissant, Mo. and two grandchildren, Chris and Linda Miller, both of Paragould.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Friday, June 18, at the Mitchell Funeral Home in Paragould.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 19, at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Herbert Starr officiating.
Burial will follow at the Cardwell Cemetery.
