Billy Hampton

Born Sept. 16, 1936, in Wardell, son of the late Cecil and Hattie Mercer Hampton, he was a U.S. Army veteran and a truck driver.

Survivors include two sons, Glenn and Scott Hampton, both of Columbia Heights, Minn.; two brothers, Eugene Hampton, of St. Louis, Mo. and Harold Hampton, of Branson, Mo.; four sisters, Julie Ann Hampton and Martha Blurton, of Ellsinore, Mo., Dorthy Buck and Earlene Ferguson.

He was preceded in death by his wife.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 17, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Wardell with the Rev. Griff Walker officiating.
