Ramell Lawler, 87, of Cooter, Mo., died Monday, June 14, 2004, at Baptist Hospital East, Memphis, Tenn.
Born Nov. 12, 1916, in Lexington, Tenn., daughter of the late William Franklin and Donie Free Anderson Evans, she was a homemaker, a member of the Tyler Church of God and the Number Eight Cemetery Club.
On Oct. 5, 1934, in Caruthersville, Mo., she married Dennis M. "Dink" Lawler, who preceded her in death. She was preceded in death by one son; eight brothers and sisters, Earl, Elmer, Myrtle, Tommie, Henry and Geraldine Evans, Verna Wilkins and Eunice Jenkins.
Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Ella Marie Talkington and Ruby Nell Walker, both of Lake Village, Ark.; 28 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, June 16, at the Bradshaw-Powell Funeral Home in Steele, Mo.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 17, at the Bradshaw-Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Chaney officiating.
Burial will follow at the Number Eight Cemetery in Cooter.
