W.A. McAlister

Born July 26, 1928, in Ripley, Tenn., he was the son of the late Gus and Alvie Smith McAlister.

Survivors include one sister, Jewel White, of Kennett; one nephew, Jerry Wayne White, of Turlock, Calif.; one niece, Debbie White, of SugarLand, Texas; two great-nephews, Douglas White Jr. and Jerry White Jr.; one great-niece, Tracy Goetach; dear friends, Kay Keene and Lillie Ward, both of Kennett and Cheryl Conrad, of SugarLand; three great-great-nephews and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by two sisters in infancy.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. today, Tuesday, June 8, at the Dry Hill Cemetery in Halls, Tenn. with the Rev. Dan Leggett officiating.

McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett was in charge of arrangements.
