James Brent "Jim" Posey, 50, of Alexandria, Va., formerly of Kennett, died Friday, May 28, 2004, at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C.
Born Monday, Nov. 23, 1953, at Weiner, Ark., son of the late William Lee and Ruby Jeanette Garrett Posey, he was a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces, was chief nurse for the U.S. Department of Education and attended First Baptist Church in Alexandria.
He married Jeri Dawn Crittendon who survives.
Survivors also include two sons, Cody Wayne Posey, of San Antonio, Texas and Bradley Donald Tucker, of Alexandria, Va.; two daughters, Casey Dawn Brown, of Amarillo, Texas and Keri Amber Tucker, of Springfield, Mo.; two brothers, Robert Posey, of Richland, Mo. and William L. Posey, of San Diego, Calif.; one sister, Rebecca Pady, of San Antonio; and three grandchildren, Logan Tucker, of Alexandria and Trey and Derek Brown, both of Amarillo.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, at Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.
Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden, Mo.
