Elmer "Bill" Phillips, 78, of Malden, Mo., died Friday, May 28, 2004, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Mo.
Born Jan. 11, 1926, at Morehouse, Mo., a son of the late Oscar Tuner and Emma May Holder Phillips, he was retired truck driver and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
On July 19, 1946, he married Goldie Mae Neeley at Corning, Ark., who preceded him in death April 16, 2003.
Survivors included a daughter, Debbie Phillips of Malden and one brother, Clettis Phillips of Malden.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Jessie, Cecil and Wilbur Phillips and two sisters, Opal Jungers and Edna Caudill.
Funeral services were 1 p.m. Monday, May 31, at Bradshaw Funeral Chapel in Malden with the Rev. Jim Long officiating.
Burial, with full military honors, was in Rosewood Cemetery.
