James Brent "Jim" Posey, 50, of Alexandria, Va. and formerly of Kennett, died Friday, May 28, 2004, at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C.
Born Monday, Nov. 23, 1953, at Weiner, Ark., a son of the late William Lee and Ruby Jeanette Garrett Posey, he a veteran of the U.S. Armed, was chief nurse for the U.S. Department of Education and attended First Baptist Church in Alexandria.
He married Jeri Dawn Crittendon who survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Cody Wayne Posey of San Antonio, Texas and Bradley Donald Tucker of Alexandria, Va.; two daughters, Casey Dawn Brown of Amarillo, Texas and Keri Amber Tucker of Alexandria Va.; two brothers, Robert Posey of Richland, Mo. and William L. Posey of San Diego, Calif.; one sister, Rebecca Pady of San Antonio; and three grandchildren, Logan Tucker of Alexandria and Trey and Derek Brown of Amarillo.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today, Tuesday, June 1, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, at Bradshaw Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden, Mo.
